10:15-11:15 Session I: Civic Engagement: Our Religious Obligation

11:15-12:00   Breakout Group: Interactive session and discussion

Discuss within each group a particular problem that a minority group faces and offer a solution to it (e.g., Muslims, African Americans, Immigrants, Latinos, etc.) --- Ally and Advocacy workshop/exercise combined

12:00-12:45  Lunch: talk w AIC for nearby vendors; consider 45 minutes to move up program

1:00-2:00  Session II: Engagement in the Mainstream to the Masses

Panel: The Audacity of Youth: Fighting the Trump Effect

How has the Muslim community been impacted post-Trump? As young Muslims in America, how can we contribute to American politics? How can we amplify our voice in regards to Islamophobia, civic engagement, and being considered for possible solutions in combating bigotry?

2:00-3:30 Workshop:  Civic Engagement in the Popular Culture

Present each group with a popular figure who has been heavily active in Civic engagement and look unto your community and find such a solution with a similar approach as a popular figure (e.g. Colin Kaepernick, LeBron James, Eminem, Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie)

Keynote - Get Active! Moving beyond Our Comfort Zone

Celebration of Muslim American Experience

Progress will never happen until we find unity in our own community featuring Chicago-native Muslim Artists
