What is MYLS?
MYLS, The Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium, is a youth initiative program founded by CAIR-Chicago in 2007. It is a series of conferences that educate young Muslim-Americans on civic engagement and social activism.
Break the Cycle
Break the Cycle is the tenth anniversary of the MYLS youth initiative and is the thirteenth symposium we will be hosting. The symposium’s goal is to organize youth from all over Chicagoland to promote ways muslim youth can be civically engaged in their own communities. We plan to promote such ideas by bringing in a host of influential speakers and leading workshops that help inspire the youth of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. The program will be an all day event starting with registration at 9 AM and will end at 6 PM with Maghrib prayer.
